Dumbfoundead Can Eat A Lot Of Donuts
Put down that granny cane, son
I remember the first time I ever saw Jonathan Park AKA Dumbfoundead. The Argentinean born, Los Angeles based Korean hip hop prodigy made his street cred in the rough and tumble world of organized rap battle competitions as a member of Thirsty Fish and a card carrying member of the Project Blowed Collective. What does all that really mean? It means he can eat A LOT of donuts,* but I digress. I can honestly claim that I saw the young MC step up to his first rap battle. He didn’t really get what a “rap battle” was and he just hit his opponent in the head with a granny cane when it was his turn.
It was a really disappointing performance in that it wasn’t actually a performance and more of a physical assault with a blunt instrument. That day Dumbfoundead did not win any donuts and looked a little dumbfounded, standing over the groaning body amid a silent crowd.
Eventually he would earn the title of “Blowian” himself by imposing his lyrical skills on a terrified world, menacing people with granny canes and repeatedly winning donut eating contests.
His fourth album DFD (“Donuts For Dumbfoundead) was released in November and it’s poised to become more popular than the bible, more popular than eating donuts.
Be sure to check out his site.
