So here is an amusing anecdote for you. Swellco & Swellco’s dear sweet Louise LaTease isn’t really named Louise LaTease. It’s a stage name. No really, it is. She was contemplating changing her stage name, which isn’t an easy endeavor for her since she is the most hyperactive ADD spaz to walk the planet. (I often liken the effort of keeping her on task to herding a chicken.) After a month of a constant frenzied brainstorming she came up with the name Megan Massacre. She was ecstatic. Megan Massacre is perfect for the Video Circus. She proclaimed.
Two days later she was devastated/obsessed. There was another Megan Massacre, she was also from Philly and she was a gorgeous tattooed model. For weeks she would bring this girl up. “Robert, you have to see her. She is so beautiful.” “Robert, you have to contact her to be in the videos.” I don’t know why but I resisted the urge to look up this supposed super goddess and I told Louise to contact the girl for us if she had such a crush. This brought on another flurry of Louise indecision. “What do I say?” “How do I approach her?” “Maybe I should go get a tattoo from her” (Megan Massacre is also a tattoo artist) But the dreaded hyperactive ADD led to no action. Finally today I looked up this Megan Massacre…
Oh shit. I pride myself on having some sense of who’s who and what’s what. But here was a true lord of the underground right under my nose. Megan Massacre is everything Louise said she is. A drop dead model and highly talented tattoo artist who’s been on the cover of just about every tattoo magazine in the world, right here under our nose. Louise was right, Megan Massacre IS perfect for the Video Circus and we’re going to be contacting her very very soon.
